Thanks to the leadership and support of Judge Ruchie Freier (right) and founding member Devorah Taitz, Ezras Nashim will soon graduate its first class of EMTs.

After an overflow inaugural meeting in Lawrence in February 2019, 5T Ezras Nashim, a branch of the the all-women volunteer ambulance corps, received many inquiries for EMT training and volunteer opportunities.

Ezras Nashim began in Brooklyn, was the subject of the award-winning documentary 93Queen, and has since expanded throughout the metro New York area, including such places as New York City, Monsey, and Lakewood.

A full class of students signed on for EMT training in the summer and have almost finished the class.

The group is now accepting inquiries for a new class to begin in January 2020. If you have a desire to be an emergency responder and love helping people, this is the perfect time to become a part of 5T Ezras Nashim.

On November 17, 7:30 p.m. in Woodmere, Judge Ruchie Freier will return to the Five Towns to congratulate the first class, welcome new applicants and answer questions about this lifesaving chesed organization. Women of the community are invited to attend. Email 5tezrasnashim@gmail.com and follow on Facebook @5TEzrasNashim to learn more, register, and keep up with the latest developments.
