When interpersonal relationships aren’t on track, when our community is beset with issues, and the world at large seems to have gone mad, we often feel frustrated and filled with despair. At a special lecture titled “Bitachon as an Antidote to Pain, Worry, and Disappointment,” Mrs. Dina Schoonmaker will offer a new perspective on life’s challenges, large and small. The lecture will be held at Congregation Shaaray Tefila, 25 Central Avenue in Lawrence on Sunday, November 13, 8:00 p.m.

“My goal is to show how we can begin to see everyone in our lives as Hashem’s messengers and every event that occurs as purposeful,” says Schoonmaker.

A veteran teacher, popular lecturer, and relationship counselor, Schoonmaker has been on staff at Michlalah Jerusalem College for over 20 years. In addition to presenting on topics of personal development with a Torah hashkafah, she is a regular respondent in Mishpacha Magazine’s AdviceLine column and a host of live mussar va’adim for women throughout Israel and internationally.

“We are delighted to host Mrs. Schoonmaker for this special lecture and know that the women of our community will benefit tremendously from her knowledge, experience, and insight(s),” commented Rabbi Uri Orlian, rav of Congregation Shaaray Tefila.

This lecture is free and open to women of the Five Towns and Far Rockaway community. For more information on programs at Shaaray, please contact Rabbi Orlian at rabbiorlian@shaaray-tefilah.org.
