Thursday, April 25 in the afternoon, the Hewlett Fire Department, Nassau County Police and ESU officers operated on the scene of a car that drove into the CVS at 1740 Broadway in Hewlett.
One vehicle was involved in the accident resulting in two injuries– the driver of the vehicle and one person inside the store. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
Hewlett Heavy Rescue 306 was used to remove the vehicle from the store. Once firefighters secured the vehicle and checked the building’s structural integrity they were released from the scene.
All fire department units were under the command of Hewlett First Assistant Chief Steve Lahey.
