At Yeshiva University High School for Girls, the freshmen have spent the last few weeks growing acclimated to their new school culture, familiarizing themselves with their courses, and meeting their new classmates. The annual freshman retreat provides freshmen an opportunity to regroup for two days, to process all that they have learned, and to gear up for the four wonderful years to come.
Away from the hustle and bustle of school, freshmen and their senior “Big Sisters” spent time together at Camp Kaylie, enjoying activities both thought-provoking and fun. Freshmen engaged in insightful sessions with their Big Sisters, which encouraged them to look inward as well as outward, as they reflected on their goals for high school and bonded with their peers. Some students brought out their “wacky” sides as they participated in the game-show stylings of Powerhouse Studios and played quick rounds of “Minute to Win It!”
The beautiful facilities of Camp Kaylie provided entertainment as well. Students partook in activities ranging from swimming to go-karting to rock-climbing. It was a wonderful way for the freshmen to bond and get to know one another.Â
