Olim upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport on a Nefesh B’Nefesh flight

Special Nefesh B’Nefesh Flight Greeted By Israeli President Reuven Rivlin


New York, NY August 12, 2014 — An EL AL 747-400 jumbo with 338 Olim from the USA and Canada arrived in Israel this morning on a special Nefesh B’Nefesh flight.

Among the Olim were 108 young men and women who will serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). A total of 37 families with 107 children from 27 states and three Canadian provinces were on board. The flight included a six-week-old baby and 93-year-old great-grandparent in a family of four generations making Aliyah together.

The special Nefesh B’Nefesh flight was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel and JNF-USA.

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, the Olim were welcomed by Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel presented each with a personalized certificate of a tree planted in Israel in their honor.
