Started by Eli Slomovits in 1996, E&S Tours is a leader in the luxury kosher touring industry, journeying with over 250 passengers each year. E&S Tours is known as the creator of unique inspirational and exciting tours throughout Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, and Northern Africa and has conducted over 60 tours for thousands of satisfied clients over the past 19 years.

Now, E&S Tours has created two extraordinary experiences this August for what promises to truly be the summer of much content. E&S is pleased to announce its summer 2016 Journey to Morocco, August 16—22. Designed especially for all those seeking to experience the intriguing rich Jewish heritage and celebrated sites of exotic Morocco, this tour features the signature service and upscale amenities that are the hallmark of E&S Tours.

Exciting in concept, this tour will afford participants a comfortable and affordable touring experience, featuring luxurious accommodations in world-class hotels and the newest deluxe motor coaches equipped with state-of-the-art amenities.

More than a tour, this is a full Moroccan experience in which you will be immersed. Your senses will be awakened by a beautiful and ancient culture steeped in centuries-old tradition that remains vibrant today. This is an experience that you will cherish forever.

Led by world-renowned author and lecturer Yehuda Azoulay, who has researched every town, every city, and the Torah giants who walked these very streets, you will hear–and be inspired–as he relates the history and stories of many gedolei Yisrael of Morocco. In his incomparable way, Yehuda will bring to life these Torah luminaries and the Torah communities in which they lived. On this journey of a lifetime, you will be part of a select group from the global Jewish community, joining together to rediscover and explore these fascinating places in our history.

Everything you have read about Fez, Marrakesh, and Casablanca will enchant you as you experience the beauty and mystique of magnificent Morocco firsthand. Hundreds of years of Jewish history and culture will come alive before your eyes as you walk the ancient streets of this magical country.

Participants will be afforded the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of such great Talmudic scholars and venerable rabbis as the Rambam, the Rif, the Ohr HaChayim, and many more gedolei olam.

Spend Shabbos in the imperial city of Fez; attend the hilulah of miracle worker Reb Amram Ben Diwan in Ouzzane on his yahrzeit, 15 Av. Tour the Souks and Mellahs (Jewish Quarters) of Marrakesh, Fez, Rabat, and Meknes. Daven at kevarim, visit stunning shuls, and enjoy five-star glatt kosher catering. Be prepared to embark upon an adventure that will enrich your life.

E&S Tours has set the bar in kosher touring with its standards of excellence, quality touring, and unsurpassed service. What makes each E&S tour unique is meticulous attention to detail. “Our itinerary is inspirational as well as exciting,” said Moshe Portnoy, director of E&S Tours. “People travel to all these countries because they want to trace the footsteps of their ancestors and learn from their experiences. They take their experiences back to their communities and strengthen the foundations of Jewish continuity–the mesorah of their family heritage.”

Previously, E&S Tours has taken participants to Ashkenazic and Sephardic countries. This summer, E&S Tours is offering two unique experiences–the journey to Morocco and, August 22—30, a trip to Italy with internationally acclaimed author Rabbi Paysach Krohn. This is a unique opportunity for those dispersed throughout the world to join together and tour the meeting point between Ashkenazic and Sephardic worlds, back to Italy–where galus first began.

After Titus destroyed the Second Beis HaMikdash, he brought Jewish slaves to Rome to build the Coliseum. You will be intrigued to know that for all of its charm, Venice holds a dark place in Jewish history; it was home to the first Jewish ghetto. These are but a few of the many fascinating facts that you will learn throughout this tour.

In his inimitable manner, Rabbi Krohn will relate the divrei Torah and inspirational stories of many of the gedolei Yisrael of Italy and bring to life these gedolei olam and the Torah communities in which they lived. Participants will learn about many of the distinguished Torah sages who lived and taught Torah in Italy, including Maharam Padua, Ramo Mi’pano, the Bartenura, Rav Moshe Chaim Luzzato (the Ramchal), the Ibn Ezra, the Sforno, the Aruch, and many other gedolim.

While they tour Italy and learn its fascinating Jewish history, participants will marvel at the picturesque piazzas, beautiful bridges, intriguing museums, and breathtaking countryside. With its unique urban layout of intricate canals and waterways, Venice is charming to behold. Enjoy a gondola ride or visit a traditional glass-blowing or lacemaking factory or choose from a plethora of other possibilities.

Tuscany’s stunning and serene environment provides a picture-perfect setting to savor Shabbos. Joining together in uplifting davening, world-class catered seudos, lively zemiros, speeches, and learning throughout Shabbos, and an unforgettable E&S melaveh malkah–this is an experience not to be missed!

Upon the conclusion of the tour in Rome, participants will come full circle to where our galus began. In this last city, as they explore the history of the oldest uninterrupted Jewish community on the face of the earth, they will dance at the Arch of Titus with great ahavas Yisrael, in defiance of the evil Titus’ machination to destroy Am Yisrael.
