Firefighters battled an inferno at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn early this morning, which injured three people, authorities said.
The four-alarm blaze began shortly before 2:15 a.m. at a campus building on Willoughby Avenue, near Steuben Street.
A source said flammable materials in an art classroom increased the intensity of the flames.
Almost 170 Bravest battled the fire until about 4:10 a.m., when it was extinguished. Nearby residents posted pictures of the fire online — showing heavy flames and thick smoke shooting from the building’s roof, which partially collapsed.
An FDNY spokesman said the fire is not believed to be suspicious at this time, but fire marshals are investigating because of its size.
The cause is not yet known.
