FJCC, Hatzoloh, Shomrim and Elected Officials Launch Fund for NYPD Widows and Orphans
New Yorkers are shocked and devastated by the murders of two of New York’s finest in the line of duty. In response, Jewish Community representatives from the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition (FJCC,) Hatzoloh of Flatbush and Flatbush Shomrim are spearheading a memorial fund in partnership with State Senator Simcha Felder, Assembly Member Steven Cymbrowitz, Assembly Member Dov Hikind, Assembly Member Helene Weinstein, Councilman Chaim Deutsch, and Councilman David Greenfield to honor the memories of the slain officers who made the ultimate sacrifice on our City’s behalf.
This special fund will financially assist the NYPD widows and orphans and demonstrate our community’s heartfelt appreciation, condolences and support to the members of the NYPD. Leaders from the FJCC, Hatzoloh and Shomrim have personally addressed commanders and Police officers to express community wide solidarity with the NYPD at this difficult time.
Funds will be distributed in consultation with and guidance from Brooklyn South NYPD Precinct Commanders.
