Shoshana Schebovitz and Liam Gerafi, fifth-graders at the Brandeis School, recently donated their hair to Zichron Menachem, an organization in Israel that supplies children with wigs while they are going through cancer treatments.
These students understand the true meaning of caring, giving, and empathy. Brandeis teaches the importance of helping others and doing mitzvot all throughout the year. Each month they take part in different chesed projects to help others in some positive way. Brandeis emphasized the magnitude of what these two girls did and the meaning behind their mitzvah while the entire school applauded their deed.
