The Jewish community of Inwood began about 10 years ago, led by a handful of pioneering families who were determined to facilitate its growth. Today, the count is over a hundred frum families, and this number is steadily rising.
Although Inwood is connected to the extended Far Rockaway/Five Towns communities, the current community mikvaos are operating at full capacity, indicating a clear need for more locations where people can partake in this special mitzvah.
Noticing this clear need for a new mikvah, the Inwood community, in addition to the pillars of Inwood, the Brazil families, a property was purchased and together with other generous donors and members of the community $900,000 of the $1.3 million that is needed to build a new mikvah has already been raised.
The Inwood Mikvah is being dedicated to Rebbetzin Sara Leah Brazil a’h, who passed away 20 years ago and was renowned in the Far Rockaway community for her purity and kindness.
Please help us reach our goal, as well as have the zchus of being involved in the very special mitzvah of taharas hamishpacha.
May it be a z’chus for you and your family and for all of Klal Yisroel!
