(Israel Hayom/Exclusive to JNS.org)Â A female terrorist stabbed an Israeli civilian at the Gush Etzion junction in the northern Judean hills on Monday, wounding him lightly. Soldiers stationed at the junction noted the attack and opened fire at the terrorist, seriously wounding her.
Israeli troops were called to the scene to hunt for three suspected accomplices who are believed to have transported the attacker to the junction. The attacker has been identified as a 20-year-old resident of the Palestinian town of Beit Fajjar, near Bethlehem.
The victim sustained stab wounds to his shoulder and was treated at the scene. The terrorist has been transported to a hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.
The attack came hours after Border Police officers at the Tapuach junction, further north in Samaria, arrested a young Palestinian man who raised their suspicions. After failing to heed their requests to stop and advancing toward them, the officers arrested the suspect and recovered a knife from him. He was handed over to the Shin Bet security agency for questioning.
