President Donald Trump hosted two Hanukkah receptions Thursday afternoon at the White House in Washington D.C. The parties were delayed because of the national day of mourning for late President George H.W. Bush.
Larry Gordon, 5TJT publisher, and many other Jewish leaders and Israel advocates from the tristate area were invited.
The parties, which fell on the fifth night of the Festival of Lights, come a year after the Trump White House’s first Hanukkah party was marred by controversy after the White House did not invite Jewish members of Congress who were critical of the president.
All Jewish members of the House and Senate were invited to this year’s festivities, a White House spokesperson said.
