These days, it’s rare to find politicians who go out of their way to put our community and its needs first. Todd Kaminsky is the epitome of a dedicated public servant, and I urge you to join me in voting to reelect him as our state senator.
I have had the pleasure to get to know Todd well over the years, and our community is extremely fortunate to have him representing us. Todd has made our local Jewish day schools a top priority in Albany, securing record amounts of state aid for our yeshivas—to the tune of millions of dollars a year. Senator Kaminsky keenly understands the tuition crisis that we face as a community and successfully fought to increase state funding for STEM education and security expenses in our yeshivas to unprecedented levels.
It’s no secret that anti-Semitism is on the rise in our country, posing a grave threat to our community. Not only has Todd brought back tens of millions of dollars in security funding to our neighborhood institutions each year, but he and his team have personally guided dozens of our local shuls and schools across the Five Towns and West Hempstead in applying for and securing these vital grants to keep us and our children safe.
With Israel under attack from those who seek to delegitimize the Jewish state, Todd has been on the front lines fighting back. Not only did Todd lead the effort to prohibit New York State from investing in and doing business with companies that support BDS, but he also cosponsored legislation to strip state funding from Students for Justice in Palestine and other student groups that spew hatred at Israel and Jewish students on college campuses.
Our community needs a partner in Albany who understands our needs and has secured proven results. I urge you to join me in reelecting Todd Kaminsky. We owe it to ourselves to have him fighting for our shuls, schools, homeland, and the community-at-large.
