As always, each first-grade class of Shulamith School for Girls, under the direction of the principal, Mrs. Joyce Yarmak, celebrated its own chag haSiddur, with class presentations that made everyone proud. This was arranged specifically to allow each girl to shine. The Shulamith morot are so proud of the talmidot’s individual accomplishments. Talented morot Mrs. Adina Katz, Mrs. Breindy Wahrman, Mrs. Masha Hoffman, and Miss Ariella Friedman worked tirelessly, together with music teacher Mrs. Yehudit Markovits, to ensure that everyone was prepared. The audiences, filled with parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives, were truly amazed. Each student received her Siddur, covered in a beautiful leather cover and inscribed with her Hebrew name. These Siddurim were lovingly sponsored by Jonathan and Sari Altmark in honor of their daughter Yali; Jeremy and Adina Herskowitz in honor of their daughter Ayala; Richard and Marilyn Jedwab in honor of their granddaughters Avigayil and Ayelet Mandel; Moshe and Aliza Pilevsky in honor of their daughter Tamar; Stuart and Claire Podell in honor of their granddaughters Atara Grushko, Sheera Rockoff, and Eliana Sacknovitz; Zelig and Mona Solomon in honor of their granddaughter Leah Solomon; Yechiel and Aliza Zucker in honor of their daughter Hannah; and anonymous in memory of Bubby Kupetz and Savta Wallin, Love Orah. Once again, the Shulamith Women’s Organization presented each student with a gift. Refreshments were beautifully arranged by the class mothers and served for all to enjoy. The families reaped much nachat from their talented girls.
