Jonathan L. Brisman, M.D., a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in treating cerebrovascular conditions, including brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), carotid stenosis, and stroke, has opened an office at 923 Broadway in Woodmere.
“I look forward to providing excellent neurosurgical care to the residents of the Five Towns,” notes Dr. Brisman. “I hope that with a conveniently located, patient-friendly, nearby office I’ll be able to serve members of this community who might otherwise think that they have to travel great distances for an appointment to see an experienced neurosurgeon.” In addition to consultations for the treatment of vascular conditions, Dr. Brisman is also able to advise patients about care for chronic neck and back pain, as well as brain tumors.
A Great Neck resident, Dr. Brisman is the director of cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at both NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, N.Y., and Oceanside’s South Nassau Communities Hospital. He’s a partner and an attending neurosurgeon with Neurological Surgery, P.C. (NSPC), the New York metropolitan area’s largest private neurosurgical group.
Dr. Brisman has been included in New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” listing from 2013–2018 and was the only neurosurgeon from Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties to be recognized as a New York Magazine “Best Doctor” in 2018. He’s also been selected as a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor: New York Metro Area” from 2012–2018.
