Noted lecturer Michal Horowitz will be speaking at The Premier on August 13 at 12:30 p.m. This lecture will be open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The Premier looks forward to releasing a full lineup of speakers and community activities for the holiday and fall season.
The Premier also welcomed a new chef to its kitchen, Josh Aaron. The kitchen at the Premier serves thousands of nutritious meals weekly as well as a special Shabbos menu. The Premier boasts two state-of-the-art kitchens at its facility, one for meat and one for dairy. Premier also has private dining rooms for families who come visit and want to eat with their loved ones while they are on the road to rehabilitation. The Premier is the only skilled nursing facility under the strict kosher supervision of the Vaad Hakashrus of the Five Towns and Far Rockaway.
In September, the Premier expects to open an upscale coffee shop in its spacious lobby area that will also be under the VAAD. The shop, owned and operated by a well-known local proprietor, will be open to the public and is in close proximity to the Woodmere LIRR station.
The Premier welcomes two new resident concierges, Wanakee Billings and Bibi Decunha.
The concierges are part of Premier’s effort to offer not just first class medical care but also the finest experience for residents and their families. The concierge is available 24 hours, seven days a week. The concierge’s role is to address any and all needs of the residents and their families during their stay so that they can focus on getting well and leaving the rest to the highly trained staff.
“We anticipate the needs of every resident, and make sure they are well taken care of from the moment they walk in the door,” said Elie Pollak, administrator of the Premier. “Our concierge program, our nutritional programs, and our lecture series are all integral to that effort.”
