Elichai Rubin, who teaches Photoshop and website building for ORT Kadima Mada, works with campers to prepare for a robotics competition.

ORT has introduced a new pilot project in Jewish camps this summer, thanks to a special grant from ORT America, ORT’s fundraising arm in the United States.  A team of educators from ORT’s Kadima Mada program in Israel is bringing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) workshops to the NJ Y Camps in Milford, Pennsylvania, 92Y Day Camp at the Henry Kaufman Campgrounds in Pearl River, New York, and Ramah Day Camp in Nyack, New York to teach new concepts through fun and engaging activities.

Five course themes are being offered to campers:  Beginners/Advanced Photography; Mobile Apps Development; Robotics; Computer-Aided Design (CAD); and 3D Printing.  All projects will also teach campers about Israel.
