Popular Conservative Columnist Charles Krauthammer Has Passed Away, Age 68

After recently announcing his final column weeks ago due to a battle with terminal cancer, the world was saddened to learn of the passing of Charles Krauthammer on June 21.

Despite an accident which paralyzed him, Krauthammer still graduated Harvard Medical School to become a psychiatrist.

But his career as a columnist and panelist brought him the most appreciation for The Washington Post, a PBS news program Inside Washington, Fox News contributor, and a nightly panelist on Fox News Channel’s Special Report with Bret Baier.

Krauthammer was born in New York City to parents who were Orthodox Jews and spend many summers in Long Beach, NY.

He won the Pulitzer Prize several times for his work at the Washington Post and The New Republic in 1984. His book, “Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics,” was a New York Times bestseller.
