The fashion industry has Fashion Week, shoppers have Black Friday, and theatergoers have Broadway Week, which offers half-price tickets to some of the best Broadway shows.

Tickets sales for Broadway Week’s half-off deal begin Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Shows take place from January 21 through February 10, 2019, conveniently falling out during Yeshiva Week. Tickets to the most popular shows get sold out pretty quickly, so plan ahead. Here is the link to buy tickets.

Another much anticipated annual event is Kids’ Night on Broadway on Tuesday, February 26, which allows kids under the age of 18 to see a participating Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Kids’ Night on Broadway tickets include other discounts to parking and restaurants.

If your family isn’t up to going to a Broadway show there are many places that you can take your kids for free in NYC. Here are some free ideas. The following museums typically require paid admission but open their doors for free on specific days or times.

Sundays
New York Hall of Science free entrance on Sundays (10 -11 am )

Tuesdays
9/11 Memorial & Museum (5pm to close)

Thursdays
Brooklyn Children’s Museum (2 to 6pm)
