Rabbi Dovid Kaminetsky
We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Rabbi Dovid Kaminetsky, beloved father of Katz Yeshiva High School Executive Director Shimmie Kaminetsky, Hebrew Academy of Long Beach (HALB) Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yisroel Kaminetsky, HALB Early Childhood Director Lisa Zakutinsky and Teaneck Bergenfield Community Leader Daniel Kaminetsky, esq.
Rabbi Kaminetsky’s career in Jewish education included serving as principal of the Moriah School in Englewood, Manhattan Day School, director of Camp Mogen Avraham, National Director of NCSY, and most recently associate principal of Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey.
The funeral is Thursday, May 31st at 12:30pm at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, 641 West Englewood Ave in Teaneck, N.J. Burial will take place on Friday at Eretz HaChaim Cemetery in Bet Shemesh.
Shiva will begin in Israel at the home of the Liff Family, 10 Rechov HaKablan in Har Nof until Sunday night, June 3.
Shiva resumes Monday morning, June 4, at 1288 Hudson Road, Teaneck, N.J., until Thursday morning, June 7.
May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.

Just saw him at a wedding recently I went to morgen AV for many years and he was such a mentch he made sure the camp was clean and if he saw garbage on the floor he would pick it up he did not care that he was the camp director he was mechayev us to do the same he will be missed may we only share simchas from now on

  2. I was so sad to hear. He was a beloved principal at Moriah when I was a student there, and I had the honor of knowing him even better as my teacher at Frisch where he was more than a teacher. He listened when we went though difficult times and always cared. He will be missed.
