A rabbi filed a $2 million lawsuit against Ice Cube after accusing the rapper of assault and battery fueled by antisemitism, TMZ reported on Wednesday.
A man named P. Taras, who said he is a rabbi, told TMZ he bumped into Ice Cube on Sunday outside an elevator at the MGM casino in Detroit. He told the rapper, “hey, watch out where you’re going,” International Business Times reported.
The entertainer responded by having his entourage drag the rabbi to the floor and stomp on him, according to the victim.
Taras said that his assailants cursed him with several antisemitic slurs, which he believes stem from the fact that he was wearing a Jewish skullcap, also called a yarmulke.
He is suing Ice Cube for assault and battery, and wants $2 million in damages.
Ice Cube’s rep denied the claims, saying, “Not only are these accusations a lie, he doesn’t even know who this guy is.”
