x1Over two hundred bicyclists, including many from the Five Towns and Far Rockaway, rode a 200-mile course to raise money for Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha. The riders spent two days negotiating the roads of New York and New Jersey, concluding with their arrival through the front gates of Camp Simcha in the Catskill Mountains. “It’s an exhilarating and fulfilling adventure,” said Matis Nayman (second from left) of Lawrence. “I’d say that for just about all of us, this was the high point of our summer.” Over $2.5 million was raised by the riders for the camp, which cares for children with cancer and other challenging illnesses.
