A jolly time was had by the large group who came to celebrate on Wednesday, February 28 at Sephardic Congregation of Hewlett (SCOH) under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Raphael Ribacoff. Approximately 250 adults and children joined together for the second annual Purim Megillah reading and carnival type party which was held at the Woodmere Fire House party room. The night started with the reading of the Megillah. The ba’al korei was Benyamin Menashy who read so beautifully for everyone to hear every single word. After the reading, Pizza Pious catered the meal. As usual, Leo generously provided the community with plenty of food—the best. The party included games and activities for the children with a great magic show. Every child received a free mishloach manot bag and toys.
The sisterhood did a wonderful job in preparing over 70 beautiful baskets that were sold to the community.
What a great festive night it was.
