The Central hallways were turned into a laboratory as Mrs. Leah Segal’s physics students brought their experimental designs outside the classroom. To introduce a unit about constant velocity, students used toy cars, giant rulers, and stopwatches to track the time each car needed to travel various distances. Students compared each other’s graphs and used the data to calculate each car’s speed. Mrs. Segal is impressed by the students’ excitement over their graphical and experiential understanding of the subject matter.
