Art Class. From beginners to advanced, through a series of still-life arrangements, students will learn observation and to understand structure and form, using a variety of materials. Explore composition, color, line, shading, and spatial relationships. The class will touch on foreshortening, perspective, and the Impressionism period of art history. Students will develop their own personal form of artistic expression and will complete a Shabbat or French still-life, a fall still-life, and a “Monet” or “Van Gogh” they can proudly display in their home. Shemoneh Esreih Lecture Series. A powerful new series with Michal Horowitz, which explores the different blessings of the Amidah prayer, giving meaning, intent, and insight to words we say every day, that we may have come to take for granted.
