They say lightning doesn’t strike twice; well when you’re bent on removing a political foe from office I guess that is the exception. Some of the House members across the isle admitted to the last attempt being somewhat of a witch hunt but even they insist that this one is for real.

House speaker Nancy Pelosi vowed if the Vice President didn’t resolve to invoke the 25th amendment she would put impeachment to a vote. So here we are.

The impeachment resolution on the House floor Wednesday includes one article, citing incitement of insurrection will be debated on the House floor. Sponsors of the resolution maintain they have the votes in place to pass it.

The resolution states: President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transmission of power and imperiled a coequal branch of Government. He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.
