The City of Long Beach, New York, in conjunction with the Young Israel of Long Beach will present its annual summer concert Sunday night, July 29, at 7 p.m. on the boardwalk.
Ready for something new? From all corners of the music world, co-founders Erez Cohen and George Rubin proudly present Nice Jewish Boys. These NJBs combine their origins in a cappella with their passion for pop, blending together traditional Jewish music with top 40, EDM, and a twist of R&B and soul. NJB will have you jumping out of your seats wanting to dance and sing along. So what does NJB sound like? Think Bruno Mars meets Pentatonix … in shul!
The concert will take place on the boardwalk and Long Beach Boulevard. This event serves as a welcome to the many families who come to Long Beach to enjoy their summer vacations. It is just one of the many activities and special events being planned at Young Israel this summer. Prior to the concert there will a barbecue for families affiliated with Chai Lifeline who have been invited to join in the concert. This program is being chaired by Yechezkel and Michele Brucker.
During the summer months there is a large influx of families from the greater metropolitan area who come to the City by the Sea to enjoy the magnificent boardwalk, relaxing atmosphere, and amenities. The Young Israel of Long Beach sees as part of its mission to provide for the overall religious, spiritual, social, and cultural needs of the summer guests. To meet this responsibility, the Young Israel has instituted several special summer programs and initiatives.
