YU players wore special warm-up jersey’s with the names of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting victims

The Yeshiva University Men’s basketball season home opener game on November 20 held a tribute to the victims of the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue shooting. Players wore special warm-up jersey’s honoring the victims, a special number 11 jersey was unveiled in the gym to be displayed for the entire season, the team held an 11-second moment of silence, and Simcha Halpert (co-captain of the men’s basketball team) spoke about the significance of this event.
