The Hamas terrorist organization claimed today (Wednesday) that three of the four members of the Bibas family who were kidnapped on October 7 are dead.

According to Hamas, 10-month-old Kfir Bibas and his four-year-old brother Ariel were killed in an Israeli airstrike along with their mother Shiri. If the terrorist organization is to be believed, the only surviving member of the family is Yarden Bibas, the boys’ father and Shiri’s husband.

Hamas has engaged in psychological warfare against the State of Israel using the hostages it kidnapped on October 7 since the massacre.

The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization had claimed that Chana Katzir, a 77-year-old hostage kidnapped on October 7, had died in its custody due to “medical complications.” This was proven false when Katzir became one of the 13 Israeli hostages who were among the first group of hostages to be released last Friday night.

Kfir Bibas is the youngest person who was kidnapped on the morning of October 7, having been just nine months old at the time.

The IDF spokesperson said in response to Hamas’ claims: “During the Hamas massacre of October 7, the Bibas family, including 10-month-old Kfir Bibas, his 4-year-old brother Ariel Bibas, and their mother Shiri Bibas — were kidnapped alive into Gaza.”

“The barbarism and cruelty of Hamas is on full display to the world. IDF representatives spoke with the Bibas family following the recent reports and are with them at this difficult time. The IDF is assessing the accuracy of the information.

“Hamas is wholly responsible for the security of all hostages in the Gaza Strip. Hamas must be held accountable. Hamas’ actions continue to endanger the hostages, which include nine children. Hamas must immediately release our hostages.

Yesterday, Ofri Bibas, the aunt of the two young captives and sister of Yarden Bibas, said at a rally in support of the hostages in Tel Aviv: “For 53 days they have been held captive by Hamas in Gaza, we don’t know if 10-month-old Kfir and Ariel are with their parents. We don’t know who comforts them when they cry. We don’t know if they have food or baths.”

She added “We know where they are – Hamas kidnapped them and must return them immediately. The responsibility for their health lies directly with Hamas.”

“Hamas – are these your enemies? Kidnapping children, are these your values? Is this acceptable according to Islam?” the aunt wondered.

“We are happy for every hostage who has returned. We demand that the Israeli government act and return the hostages immediately. Their lives are in real danger and every day that passes puts them at greater risk.”
