Joshua Kushner, brother of Jared Kushner, senior advisor to the President of the United States, and Karlie Kloss, a supermodel, held a small, Jewish wedding ceremony in upstate New York on Thursday, with under 80 people in attendance. They will also host a larger celebration for friends and loved ones in the spring.
Kloss was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2011 until 2015. In April she became Estée Lauder’s newest global spokesmodel and brand ambassador. This month it was announced that she will be taking over for Heidi Klum as the host of Project Runway.
The couple had been dating for six years. People Magazine reported in July that Kloss had converted to Judaism.
Josh’s brother married Ivanka Trump in 2009 after she underwent conversion under Rabbi Haskel Lookstein of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun in Manhattan. Media sources have conjectured that Kloss’s conversion was also overseen by Rabbi Lookstein.
Kushner, a Harvard graduate like his older brother, founded a technology investment firm called Thrive Capital. Thrive is one of the financiers of Instagram, Kickstarter and Jet.com.
